ABOUT
‘More Than Just A First Lady’ is a stage play that highlight some of the stereotypes associated with pastor’s wives. Lynnell Logan a.k.a L.A Logan and SoWright Theater Company hopes to shine a spotlight on the challenges that come with the title ‘First Lady’. Most see this title as prestigious and one of honor, but the real “shine” often falls on the pastor. First Ladies’ often make the biggest sacrifices that allow the Pastor to pastor. These sacrifices often leave first ladies dealing with feeling undervalued, feeling unappreciated, isolated, lack of ambition, unrealistic expectations, lack of identity, disrespect, and various forms of abuse. By the end of ‘More Than Just A First Lady’ we hope that our audience will see the women behind the title of ‘First Lady’ as a human that desires the same things every other woman does.
